On March 3, 2015, Etsy announced that it had filed for a $100 million USD IPO.[6][72] As of 2015, Etsy generated transactions worth US$1.93 billion on its platform, which has 54 million members.[73] Etsy went public on April 16, 2015. The company's valuation was $1.8 billion and raised $237 million in IPO proceeds.[74] Less than a month later, Etsy stock dropped more than 8%. The stock closed at $30 on its first day of trading on April 16 and dropped down to $20.32 as of May 11.[75]

This card has optional greetings: Happy Mother's Day!, Happy Birthday!, Happy Spring!, Thinking of You!, Thank You!, Get Well Soon!, Happy Anniversary!, Happy Summer!, Happy Gardening!, Have a Nice Day!, Just Saying Hi!, Warm Wishes!, Congratulations!, Good Luck!, You're Invited!, Spring is in the Air!, Welcome Spring!, Happy Easter!, Happy Valentine's Day!, Happy Belated Birthday!, [No Caption]
Still, if you prefer to use your own photos and images and want to create quarter- or half-fold cards, Greeting Box may be a good fit. Since Greeting Box doesn’t have photo editing tools, you need to use another application, such as Apple’s Photos, to correct red-eye and crop images before you upload them. Once the images are in the software, you can only drag, layer, rotate and reverse them. There’s also a transparency option, but compared to Hallmark Card Studio’s design suite, which includes more effects and filters, Greeting Box’s tools are very basic. This program’s biggest benefit is its price – it only costs $9.99. Other greeting cards programs cost between $40.00 and $50.00. Our best pick, Canva, is a subscription service with a fee that, over time, can make it cost even more. While Canva has a limited free version, it can be frustrating to only have access to some of the features and graphics, and Greeting Box gives you full access with your initial download. Also, you can order more clip art directly from Greeting Box for a few extra dollars.

Cover Verse: For [Name], a Good Friend Inside Verse: One of the good things about getting older is that we eventually learn What is important and brightens our lives and what is of little concern... And one of the things that we learn through the years that has always been found to be true, Is how much it means to have a close friend who's a wonderful person like you. Happy Birthday
In April 2012, a newspaper article about Etsy covered its fraud detection efforts;[78] Etsy had been criticized in the past for inconsistently applying its rules about items having to be handmade.[79] Later in April 2012, the writer of Regretsy, a popular blog, did independent research into a specific featured vendor, Ecologica Malibu, and found evidence to accuse the vendor of being a reseller, which would be against the Etsy Terms of Service.[80] The vendor asserted that it was in line with the Terms of Service, stating that the shop had simply failed to identify itself as a "collective" that included the work of several individuals, and many Etsy community members posted on the Etsy forum expressing unhappiness with the action (or lack of action) taken by Etsy.[81] As of June 2012, the vendor's account is no longer active on Etsy.[82]

First it was brush-lettered calligraphy place cards, then came rustic DIY chalkboards—but this year, designers are upping the ante once more and taking seating signage to new creative heights. “In 2019, guests are being guided to their seats in style,” says Dayna—and the options are virtually endless. From vintage-inspired luggage tags and customizable metallic maps for the couple who loves to jetset, to real fresh-cut leaves and mini planter sticks for green-thumbed brides and grooms, this year’s seating charts are both “personal and playful,” says Dayna. “Plus, they make for great keepsakes!”
Etsy's main office is located in Dumbo, Brooklyn, and it has hosted open crafting classes in the Etsy Labs.[35] The site's technology, customer support, marketing, PR, business, and communications teams operate out of this office. Etsy Labs has a workspace that provides equipment and donated materials, where members gather to make items, take and teach workshops, and attend special events.[36] Etsy also has an office in Berlin.[37] In April 2012, Etsy announced that it was taking steps to hire more women engineers to improve the gender balance of its team, as a website with majority women users but few women engineers.[38] By 2019, 30 percent of Etsy's engineers identified as "women or non-binary", and over 30 percent were people of color.[39]
Creating a shop on Etsy is free, however, each listing that is posted in the shop costs $0.20. Each listing will remain on the shop's page for a maximum of 4 months, or until someone buys the product. The prices of products are set by the shop owner, but Etsy claims 5% of the final sale price of each listing.[8] Shop owners are sent a bill at the end of every month detailing the fees Etsy has charged them, and they have until the 15th of the following month to pay the fees.[12] Sellers can choose which payment options to offer buyers; including credit cards, debit cards, and PayPal, among others.[13]
Much of the information we learn from investigations can’t be shared with the larger community out of respect for the privacy of the seller being investigated, so there is a natural divergence between what the community sees when they report a seller and what we see as we go deeper on the case. … [T]here are times when available public evidence suggests that a violation of our policy is clear, and our investigations find that it’s actually not the case.[103]
