My granddaughter starts kindergarten this year and she has sight words she'll need to know. We made her a set of flash cards with all 300 of her sight words for the year. I needed to get them done and shipped off so she could get a head start and they were here before I knew it. Easy to use, did a mail merge and printed them all out with minor corrections, mostly of the mea culpa variety.

Still, if you prefer to use your own photos and images and want to create quarter- or half-fold cards, Greeting Box may be a good fit. Since Greeting Box doesn’t have photo editing tools, you need to use another application, such as Apple’s Photos, to correct red-eye and crop images before you upload them. Once the images are in the software, you can only drag, layer, rotate and reverse them. There’s also a transparency option, but compared to Hallmark Card Studio’s design suite, which includes more effects and filters, Greeting Box’s tools are very basic. This program’s biggest benefit is its price – it only costs $9.99. Other greeting cards programs cost between $40.00 and $50.00. Our best pick, Canva, is a subscription service with a fee that, over time, can make it cost even more. While Canva has a limited free version, it can be frustrating to only have access to some of the features and graphics, and Greeting Box gives you full access with your initial download. Also, you can order more clip art directly from Greeting Box for a few extra dollars.
Shortly after the IPO in 2015, a group of investors filed a class action lawsuit against Etsy claiming fraud. The suit claimed that Etsy's CEO and officers failed to disclose numerous problems with the site which could affect the stock price, among them that "more than 5 percent of all merchandise for sale on Etsy’s website may be either counterfeit or constitute trademark or copyright infringement” and that “brands are increasingly pursuing sellers on Etsy for trademark or copyright infringement, jeopardizing listing fees and commissions." The suit also claimed that Etsy management knew of the rampant trademark and copyright infringement but did little to stop it, and in fact worked to hide this information from potential investors.[76]
I used this product with the Avery template 5388 from the Avery website and using Microsoft Word to print 3 x 5 cards and it worked great. The sheets are sturdy enough to take two passes through my Brother laser printer, printing first on one side and then manually turning the sheet over to print on the other side. After printing, the cards are easily removed from the sheet and have very smooth borders which look quite professional.

Etsy is popular as a side-business,[19] as well as a place to buy goods made from recycled and upcycled materials,[20] along with less expensive or more unusual versions of mass-produced items.[21] The unique nature of many of the items for sale is part of their appeal to some shoppers.[22][23] Product photos on Etsy tend to be editorial or artistic instead of commercial catalog style.[24] Sellers can add tags to their products to help buyers find them,[25] and buyers can choose to search for items available locally.[26] Etsy staffers publish lists of featured items.[27]

We've tested Mac greeting card software for over seven years and have spent another five years researching greeting card software for PCs. Recently, we spent close to 40 hours testing these programs, and based on our results, we think Canva is the best option. Canva updates its online platform regularly and gives you access to a large library of stylish, customizable templates. It’s also easy to use and navigate.

As co-owners of The Land of Lost Content, the world’s largest archive of 20th Century popular culture, we’re always thinking of new, exciting ways to make Britain’s rich cultural heritage relevant to the modern consumer. Our greeting card collection with Hallmark does exactly that, and features images from the 50s, 60s and 70s in a 12-part collection.
There is a plethora of photo editing tools that come with Mac computers, but it’s easier creating greeting cards when tools are in the same program. It has more than 165,000 royalty free images and 4,800+ templates to help you build a customized card for any occasion. All the editing tools are on the main page, which looks a bit cluttered. You hover the mouse over each tool for its name if you are having a hard time deciphering the images. You can print and export your finalized projects, but PrintMaster Platinum doesn’t have a sharing feature for popular social media platforms.
There’s so much to love about our funny, cute, and photo upload cards, but we also have hundreds of designs from our favourite brands. Marketing and promoting the business, creating new designs, sourcing products, and administration are the other aspects of running a business that will eat into the time available. You will need to allow for over half your time to be spent on the business side of things. You will also need to think about how you will handle the business if you decide to take a vacation, if you get ill, or managing extremely busy periods. This is why good planning is essential. It will help you avoid any nasty surprises later on.
Whether you use our print option or send your greeting online, our gallery of Birthday Cards offers a wide variety of styles and designs, including many that let you insert a favorite photo, and you can access the Stickers Menu for multiple categories of fun images to add to your project. We provide texts you can send as they are, or you can customize them to include your own thoughts or a shared memory. Keep the font we chose or opt for one of thirty-six available fonts in thirty color choices.
The presentation of the cards—the packaging—helps make a successful handmade card business. A card that is neatly presented in a cellophane envelope looks more professional and can command a higher price than one that is unpackaged. Presenting cards in some form of packaging stops cards from becoming dirty or dog-eared and it also gives the ideal opportunity for further marketing. A label on the back with your phone number or website address could help you solicit further orders. Remember to consider shipping and packaging when factoring the costs per unit in your pricing formula.

I love to cook and decided that I need a recipe card box out of sheer hatred for the add-filled, biographical oubliettes that food websites have become. I'm not using microsoft word, so i didnt even bother trying to download the templates, but I just set the page format to center on the measurements of the cards and everything printed predictably. My printer had no trouble with the card stock and I didn't even have to change the settings, which is great because I totally forgot to check that.
Before you start selling your handmade cards take a little time to plan. You need a business plan. Investing time in planning upfront can help you stay on track, meet your goals, and avoid any nasty pitfalls along the way. There are a number of elements you need to consider during the planning process. Where will you sell? Who is your target audience? What makes you unique? These are just a few of the questions you need to answer as you develop a roadmap for your business.

On March 3, 2015, Etsy announced that it had filed for a $100 million USD IPO.[6][72] As of 2015, Etsy generated transactions worth US$1.93 billion on its platform, which has 54 million members.[73] Etsy went public on April 16, 2015. The company's valuation was $1.8 billion and raised $237 million in IPO proceeds.[74] Less than a month later, Etsy stock dropped more than 8%. The stock closed at $30 on its first day of trading on April 16 and dropped down to $20.32 as of May 11.[75]

The site was launched in 2005[43] by iospace, a small company composed of Robert Kalin, Chris Maguire, and Haim Schoppik. The initial version had taken two and a half months to build.[44] Later Jared Tarbell joined the team. Former NPR executive Maria Thomas joined as COO in 2008, was promoted to CEO and left Etsy in December 2009. Robert Kalin resumed his role as CEO from December 2009 until July 2011.[45] Investors include Sean Meenan,[46] Albert Wenger,[47] Spencer and Judson Ain, Union Square Ventures, and founders of Flickr and Delicious.[48]
Think about the product that you are selling. Put together a product development plan that shows how versatile your idea is. Can it grow? Does that product spawn other products or idea that can potentially sell? While simply making some cards and putting them up for sale might prove successful, you will likely need more than the initial product. A product development plan will help take out the guesswork of how to make products that sell.
The programs we tested range in price from $10 to $50. Our favorite greeting card software for Mac landed near the bottom of that price range at $13 and has the best selection of templates and graphics. Some of the $40 programs have better sharing options and editing tools, but if you don’t need thousands of templates, we suggest checking out the low-cost software we tested.
A variety of products are sold on Etsy, including arts supplies, handmade products, and vintage pieces. Vintage pieces can only be listed if they are a minimum of 20 years old. In order to sell products on Etsy, users must create a username and have the option to create a shop name. The username cannot be changed once created. Since online signup appears for every region internationally, Etsy provides a global shipping feature.[11]

Hi Angie! Just wanted to contact you about using a couple of your vintage portraits on our church website. We’re doing a promotion for our church directory, trying to encourage folks to get in and get their photos taken and I wanted to do a slide using the couple that could be a wedding photo and the one of the grandma in the garden. While it’s not exactly a “commercial” use, it’s a little more than a “personal” use so I wanted to be sure and have permission before using them! I’m a big fan of your blog and Facebook page and have gained so much inspiration from you! Thanks so much!

Have I made my point yet?  They are not kidding when they say bioDIVERSITY.  There is literally every form of living thing available to choose from.  Butterflies and water fowl, more frogs, turtles and lizards than I ever knew existed.  Weird fancy pigeons, big and small game animals…it just goes on and on and on.  The only bad part is you can’t search for specific images but hey, it’s free!

In a lot of ways, these printable Christmas cards can be better than a box of them you'd buy at the store. Many of these printable Christmas cards can be customized with a personal greeting, message, card style, and some even let you add photos before printing. Put in a custom holiday newsletter before mailing, and you've got the perfect Christmas card.
Hi! I ‘m new on here and haven’t had time to look through everything yet, so maybe the answer is here somewhere. These Printables are great and was wondering, what is the best paper to use to print the Printables to use as a wall hanging? I have a brother ink jet printer. Also, I was interested in the transferring and I looked at best ways to do a transfer. I didn’t see anything about waterslide decal transferring. Is that not a good method?
On October 1, 2013, Dickerson held an online Town Hall Meeting to announce that Etsy would now permit factory-made goods and drop shipping, provided the seller either designed or hired designers of the items, disclosed to Etsy their factory, disclosed that they used factories and took "ownership" of the process. In that meeting and afterward, Etsy claimed the meaning of the word "handmade" should be redefined to encompass factory made.[85]

In March 2010, Kalin said that the company is profitable and "plans to go public, though not until at least next year."[69] Financial statements required to be filed by Etsy in order to go public show that due to reinvestment of annually increasing gross profits in marketing, product development, and management, the company has not reported a net profit as of 2015.[70]

In February 2008, trouble at eBay, including a strike by some dissatisfied sellers, brought speculation that Etsy could be an increasing competitor.[55] At the same time, however, some Etsy sellers expressed discontentment with how Etsy was handling complaints about stores.[56] At the time, a comparison of the two websites included complaints that on Etsy, items are difficult to find, the interface "feels slow", and the buying and selling process is United States-centric.[57] Other reviewers enjoyed using Etsy's specialized search options,[58][59] including the "Shop Local" tool.[60]

Never again will partygoers accidentally leave their favors behind when they head home at the end of the night. “This year, brides and grooms are sending guests away with gifts thoughtfully selected to be utilized and enjoyed in their everyday lives,” says Dayna. Because in an age of increasing attention to clutter (thank you, Marie Kondo), functional is the name of the game, and the most popular picks of the moment are the ones designed to be put to use—or even consumed, like these petite, personalized servings of coffee and honey.
